Student helps team win cricket championship May 25, 2017Year 12 student Utkarsh G has been regularly training and playing cricket, hoping to be called up to the Thailand National Team.He has just completed his first season playing for Asia United Cricket Club in the A2 Division of Bangkok’s professional outdoor cricket league (BCL), and not only did he win the league but also ended up as the top wicket taker for his club.Asia United founder Nadeem Shahzad has this to say: “We at Asia United Cricket Club have had a very successful 2016/17 season being crowned the A2 Division Champions. In our short ten year history, we have come close to tasting success twice, only to fall short.“Utkarsh Gupta has been integral to our success. In his debut season, he has impressed us with his enthusiasm and love for the game. Utkarsh’s tenacity and hard work made him our most successful bowler this season with 11 wickets in six matches. He narrowly missed out on being the best bowler in the A2 Division.“He showed great character during the recently concluded A2 Division Grand Final on 21 May, making crucial breakthroughs and finishing with the most wickets (three) in the final.“We take pride in the fact that we have always given talented youngsters a platform to fulfill their passion for the game of cricket. Our investment in young talent has unearthed many talents, some of whom have gone on to represent Thailand at a national level.“Utkarsh is a dedicated young lad, and a great asset to our club. We look forward to having him playing for our club next season.”For more information, visit asiaunitedcc.com KEY STAGE 3 SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS – MONDAY 1ST – WEDNESDAY 3RD MARCH 2021Dear Key Stage 3 Parents, I am writing to let you know that the official Secondary School photographs ...See More Eco-Schools Green Flag ReaccreditationBangkok Prep has achieved a second round accreditation of the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award, in which ...See More EPQ Student Speaks at World Health Innovation SummitThis week a Year 13 EPQ student was invited to speak at the World Health Innovation Summit to discuss ...See More
