Dear Students, Parents and Colleagues,

This has been a very long term and it is hard to believe that the Christmas holidays are nearly upon us. We have a lot going on between now and the end of term, both in terms of celebration and normal ‘learning’. Our Y11 students will probably be breathing a sigh of relief as they finished their Mock Exams earlier this week. They are now eagerly awaiting their results, although teachers will be more focused on giving students feedback on how to improve over the next term to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes in the final exams. Doing well at school is more like a marathon than a sprint.

Our Term 3 Calendar will be published next week so please take the time to look through the events we have planned for the community. Please note that the school will be closed on Wednesday as it is the Father’s Day public holiday. Our students have worked with the Thai Department over the last few weeks to produce a Father’s Day Exhibition that will be shown in our Undercroft on Tuesday, 3.30-4.00pm. If you have the time, please come and see what some of our students have been able to make.

November has been our Healthy Month and has built on the back of October’s theme of Think Pink with its focus on women’s health. Many students and staff have taken health pledges to consciously think about their physical and mental health. By doing this we give students the opportunity to reflect on their health and to know that they should consciously think about how well they are. By doing this students are better prepared for when things don’t quite go so well. As parents and teachers we are aiming to develop independence and responsibility in our children.

Kind regards and enjoy the weekend as we head into December.
