Dear Students, Parents and Colleagues,

On Wednesday our Thai Department produced a wonderful, student-led Loy Krathong celebration with our Head Girl and Boy as able comperes. We had several student dances and musical pieces, as well as an inclusive dance of around 100 students and teachers around the Auditorium. Some teachers were more shy than others! It is unfortunate that we could not invite parents due to space limitations, but I hope you would have been able to see some of the photographs on our social media feeds.

On a more serious note our Y11 students are in the middle of their Mock Exams after having made their Y12 Option choices. To ensure the achievements and performances in these exams can be best utilised, we have our Y11 Student led Conference on Tuesday 11th December, you will then be able to discuss progress and set appropriate learning targets towards the final exams in May/June as students plot their course onto their A Level courses next year.

Currently we have two squads of students in Phuket competing for the school. They are at the FOBISIA U15 Games and BIS Phuket Football 7s (U13). I’m looking forward to hearing how they do and am hoping for lots of personal bests to be shared with us upon their return as well as the ‘clink’ of a few medals. Next week we will have two teachers representing us at the prestigious Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in support of two of our students who attained some of world bests in Physics and IT.

Finally, there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes at the moment as our staff and students prepare for our ‘Celebrating a Spectacular Journey’ event on Wednesday 12th December. Please contact Miss Sangay Thinley ( if you need tickets as they are quickly running out for this eagerly anticipated event.

Kind regards and enjoy the weekend.
