Letter from the Head of Secondary – 28 April 2017 April 28, 2017By Head of Secondary Nigel WilsonlockI hope you all had the chance to take a deep breath after such a busy term and are refreshed for the term ahead. We were fortunate to finish the last week with two fantastic events that allowed our students to shine in different ways. If you were fortunate enough to be part of our own TEDx Youth event, you will know that our futures are in safe hands amongst such erudite and passionate students. To view all 10 videos, please click here: https://youtu.be/IhpDURLh414?list=PLk1acPKdnjo5fi6M5k6hGbCOugZoI-7GrFollowing on from TEDX we then had a wonderful Spring Recital involving students across the whole school in a wonderful display of talent. I am always impressed with the skill our students show, but know that they have worked long and hard to ensure they give near faultless performances on the night.Performances will be on the minds of our Y11, Y12 and Y13 students as they now turn to the challenges ahead, as they finalise their preparations for the external IGCSE, AS and A level examinations.Successful students will know that luck and wishful thinking are not a recipe for success, it is hard work and effective learning that will lead them on to the next phase of their education. However, I am sure you will want to join me in wishing them the best of luck in their examinations.Have a good weekend, especially if you are at the TISAC Battle of the Bands. For more information, please contact secondary.sec@bkkprep.ac.th Alumni Highlight – Jeffrey Does It All!Jeffrey Pangputhipong was part of Bangkok Prep's first graduating class back in 2012.
