Letter from the Head of Secondary – 16 June 2017 June 16, 2017By Head of Secondary Nigel WilsonlockWednesday 14 June was an especially busy day in Secondary! We had our new Head of Houses, Mr Groves, rally Sabre House in their charity day to raise about THB50,000 for a group that helps empower women in disadvantaged Thai communities. There was a very entrepreneurial spirit amongst the students that resulted in a dodge ball competition. I think the staff won, but the rules were loosely applied and scoring was flexible! Either way, a lot of fun was had.The highlight for most staff this week, other than having balls thrown at them in Dodge Ball, was the Friends of Bangkok Prep (FOBP) Appreciation Lunch. It was clear to all present that Bangkok Prep is a vibrant international community. The food on offer seemed to be from all corners of the world and tasted fantastic! A huge amount of planning had gone into the event and all tastes were catered for, from coeliacs and vegetarians through to more traditional carnivores. I would once again like to thank FOBP for being so supportive of us as a staff, we fully appreciate it and enjoy the warm and positive relationships we all have come to expect at Bangkok Prep.As we come to the end of term we are busy planning our final events. Our new format Prize Giving Ceremonies will be next Friday and our more light-hearted ‘Bangkok Prep’s Got Talent’ is on the last Monday of term.Unfortunately, this is a closed event and we cannot accommodate parents or visitors. If you have received an invitation to the Prize Giving Ceremonies please reply as soon as possible, if you have not already done so, as space is limited.Have a great weekend! For more information, please contact secondary.sec@bkkprep.ac.th KEY STAGE 3 SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS – MONDAY 1ST – WEDNESDAY 3RD MARCH 2021Dear Key Stage 3 Parents, I am writing to let you know that the official Secondary School photographs ...See More Eco-Schools Green Flag ReaccreditationBangkok Prep has achieved a second round accreditation of the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award, in which ...See More EPQ Student Speaks at World Health Innovation SummitThis week a Year 13 EPQ student was invited to speak at the World Health Innovation Summit to discuss ...See More
